Some more quests?

Please read this joke...

Which is really smart, Intelligent And

Out of the box...!!!

(caution this is

slightly Non-Veg! Joke,

But, not offensive)

A beautiful teacher was having trouble with one of her students in 1st Grade class. She asked,"Boy. What is your problem?" Boy answered, "I'm too smart for the first-grade. My sister is in the third-grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the 4th Grade!" Madam had enough. She took the boy to the Principal's office. While the boy waited in the outer office, Madam explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal told Madam he would give the boy a test and if he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the first-grade and behave.
She agreed.

The boy was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test.

Principal: "What is 3 x 3?"
Boy.: "9".

Principal: "What is 6 x 6?"
Boy.: "36".

And so it went with every question the principal thought a 4th grade should know.
The principal looks at Madam and tells her, "I think this Boy can go to the 4th grade."

Madam says to the principal,
"I have some of my own questions.
Can I ask him?"
The principal and the boy both agreed.

Madam asks,
"What does a cow have four of th! at I have only two of"?
Boy, after a moment,

"Legs."

Madam:
"What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?"
Boy.:
"Pockets."

Madam:
What starts with a C and ends with a T,
Is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin whitish liquid?
Boy.:
Coconut ;

Madam:
What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?
The Principal's eyes open really wide
And
Before he could stop the answer,
The boy was taking charge.
Boy.:
Bubble-gum.

Madam:
What does a man do standing up,
A woman does sitting down
And
A dog does on three legs?
The Principal's eyes open really wide
And
Before, he could stop the answer...
Boy.:
Shake hands.

Madam:
A finger goes in me.
You fiddle with me when you're bored.
The best man always has me first.
Boy.:
Wedding Ring.

Madam:
I come in many sizes.
When I'm not well,
I drip.
When you blow me,
You feel good.
Boy.:
Nose.

Madam:
I have a stiff shaft.
My tip penetrates.
I come with a quiver..
Boy.:
Arrow.

Madam:
What word starts with a 'F' and ends in 'K'
That means lot of heat and excitement?
Boy.:
Fire-truck.

Madam:
What word starts with a 'F' and ends in 'K'
&
If you don't get it,
You have to use your hand.
Boy.:
Fork.

Madam:
What is it that all men have one of,
it's longer on some men than on others,
The Pope doesn't use his
And
A man gives it to his wife after they're married?
Boy.:
SURNAME.

Madam:
What part of the man has no bone
But has muscles,
Has lots of veins,
Like pumping,
& Is responsible for making love ?
Boy.:
HEART.

The principal breathed a sigh of relief
And
Said to the teacher,
"Send this Boy to grade 5,

I got the last ten questions wrong myself!".

So how do u think, huhh?? For me, I was pondering on another way is that... though it seems just to be hilarious but it's imparting us. U see.. to be honest, i also thought the same as the principal did cos I'm no more a child. It's very sure that our ways of thinking and of children are absolutely different already. Kids are very innocent even in their thoughts.
That's why I'm just trying to be like kids and I'm in seventh heaven whenever I'm with them. Some may regard I'm childish.. Yes, can say so.. cos I myself want to be so! The Bible says no one can enter his kingdom unless you are like a child. I don't want to be matured. The more I come to know about the secular world, the more I become fed up with it. And I feel like.. far and far from God.
Kk... u see?? I'm cranky, right? ^.0

Relax, my ma'ams... :P

Girls are like APPLEs on a tree. The best ones are at the top. Men do not want to reach for good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt...

So, they settle for the rotten apples beneath, not good enough but easy to get. Then, the APPLEs on the top think something is wrong with them. When in reality, they are amazing.
They just have to wait for the right men to come...those who are brave enough to climb the tree all the way to the top, not scared to take a fall...

( A friend sms this to me and I strongly agree with it. :P )

am i a NINNY?? :P

My youth sunday school teacher gave an assignment to write a draft report on that day's lessons. I'd already passed my book to my teacher yet the rest hadn't finished writing theirs. Umm... let me think.. what shall I do before the class gave over?? I just flipped a dictionary in front of me. That dict. was with illustrations and pictures. flipping.. flipping.. Ohh, this house is quite identical with my aunty lay's one. Arrr.. i'd got an idea! better don't waste my time just by doing nothing and waiting for the rest. I started scratching just with a pencil and an eraser. Actually, I even didn't grab another new paper for it and so.. part of my lessons were still on the other side of the paper. :P
I was drawing without any special intention.. But, when I had a look before the overall figure came out, i felt.. not bad! ^.^ a good copier.. after that, as usual, being a nut on vocabularies, I accomplished it by adding vocabs on it. :P
I'm not trying to cut a dash by this picture. But, it means to me and just wanna show u guys how my aunty lay's house looks alike.. ^.0

To my ... :P

To my friends...

Wycliffe

It was when I was doing my 2nd semester. One sunday, I think it was a mission sunday (I'm not sure, I forgot already ^.0), our church held an exhibition on religious books and moreover some NGOs and Mission Org. also participated in that event. So, when the service was over, I was just looking around the place. Wow.. WYCLIFFE Bible Translation Association!! I was curious and peeped my nose around that stuff. An uncle who was in charge came and explained on what I asked. By the time he asked me how I came to S'pore, I told him ..blur blur blur... :D
Then, he said this org. is also imparting those who are interested in IT field and help out in churches. And he even gave his visiting card to me. While I was on the way back home, I was pondering of joining them. So, next day, when I finished my class, I just went down to where Wycliff locates... From then on, I could explore as much as I like from that org. Basically, all staff are just volunteers and most of them are pastors from their churches. How amazing!
My uncle, one boy (also like me but from another church) and me were in charge of IT. Only after some time, I came to know that my uncle is a CEO of an IT company.. oops! The rest mostly focus on translation.
During I was there, every afternoon before lunch, we had devotion. I don't know why I was very happy to be with them. To be honest, I gained much more knowledge and experience by being there just for a couple of weeks than being in GCC for years. I don't mean my GCC was a louisy one. All were just cos of my flaws. Without practicals and weird quests to teachers, I'm hardly engrossed by my lessons since I was a mere girl. :D Later on, I couldn't go along with them anymore for some reasons. But, I'm sure, if there's a God's will, I'll go back to Wycliff one day.

Happy SWEET DECEMBER!

I think this weekend was one of the most busiest ones in my life. I rushed here and there just trying to finish my people's thingys. After all, I came back home at around 10 plus last night. I was very tired already. Yet, I still need to check my mails as I hardly use computer on Sundays. Waa..so sleepyy
Oops.. Sweet December!!! Yeah.. X'mas is almost around the corner. I better wish my near and dear ones. I sms to my pastors, uncles, aunties, brothers and sisters. Ohh.. no.. I shouldn't miss my only four FRIENDs (Ma htet, TSA, TDW & Kabarlone).
Umm.. for the rest of my buddies from overseas, I better greet them thro' my gtalk instant message. Yep.. that's a good idea! ^.^

P.S. We siblings had received a X'mas Card very similar to this pic. when we were younger. That's why once I found out this pic., I just took it out and put it here...

To my teachers

During these days, I'm thrilled to bits. You know, why? I've got the contacts with my teachers & friends online. We chat, talk and share our experience of while we were apart with great pleasure. As for me, apart from my high school & GCC buddies, I do not make any more friends as I don't want. Since I was a graduate, I just keep bros and siss. Actually, I easily attach to those from whom I can get the relationship that I long for. But, I might be a strange lady for some cos I use to give a cold shoulder to them.
I could even have a conversation with Sayarma DHHY and DTMMM. Then, for these nights, I could manage to talk with Sayar USSH. Ohh.. I did also chat with Ah Naw, Sayar UKTK, Ma ESZ and Sayarma DOMA quite some time ago. Here, I'd like to apologize all you guys that I hardly start calling to others even to my dear ones whenever they come online. I don't mean I'm sniffy but because I really don't know how to initialize a chat. Then, I'm just afraid that you might not be free. Yet, if someone calls me first, I'm always ready to reply him/her ASAP except when I'm busy. :P
I'm soooo pleased to hear that you all are missing me. Of course, so do I. Serious! Look forward to meeting up again with all of you one day...

Short Singlish!

Few are as expert at verbal shorthand as us Singaporeans. And here's how we typically condense our sentences.

At five minutes to quitting time ...

Instead of "I'm sorry, Sir, but we don't seem to have the sweater you want in your size, but if you give me a moment, I can call the other outlets for you."

Simply shrug & say "No stock!

When returning a call ...

Instead of "Hello, this is John Tan. Did anyone page for me?"

Simply call up & demand "Hello, who page?"

When someone's in your way ...

Instead of "Excuse me, I'd like to get by. Would you please move?"

Simply lower your head/sidestep & say "Skius!"

When someone offers to pay ...

Instead of "Hey, put your wallet away, this drink is on me."

Simply smile & say "No need (pronounced nonid)"

When asking permission ...

Instead of "Excuse me, but do you think it would be possible for me to enter through this door?"

Simply point to the door & say "Can or not?"

When entertaining ...

Instead of "Please make yourself right at home."

Simply steer people toward the food & say "Don't shy, leh!"

When doubting someone ...

Instead of "I really don't recall you giving me the money."

Simply spread your hands out & say "Where got?"

When declining an offer ...

Instead of "I'd prefer not to do that, if you don't mind."

Simply look pained & say "Don't want (pronounced doe waaan)".

When deciding on a plan of action ...

Instead of "What do you propose we do now that the movie's sold out and all the restaurants are closed?"

Simply look blur & say "So how?"

Incredible!

Colorful Florets

I saw two friends
In front of my fence

One's gonna steal my flowers
One's gonna ask where we are
How can I be a rejoinder

Before the silence took an act
The thief just asked the address
With full of pretence
But another whispered
How lovely are the flowers

Ohh... woke up from the reverie
Wandering about the mysteries
Puzzling on earthly secrecy.

tried my best on translation for my non-Burmese speaking people... testing lahh ^.^ hope u guys enjoy it.

For Ah Wa...

Did I ever say thanks?

Did I ever say thanks
for all the toys you mended,
games we played,
outings to the park,
and the way you
always tried to cheer
me when I was down?

Did I ever say thanks for
the sacrifices you made
so I could be involved
in so many enriching
activities?

Did I ever say thanks for
working so hard
to provide for our family?

Did I ever say thanks
for having such faith in me
and always being there
when I needed you?

Most of all,
Did I ever say thanks for caring?

DAD, I LOVE YOU

Is this so called improvement ??

I was a high school graduate and the next school seasoning also had not started yet, I just passed my days at SAG, Sir. U Tun Aung Kyaw's class and the library "Millennium Self Access Center". I was so pleased to read as many books as I could from those places and could broaden my horizons. Then, by the time I had to attend the GCC, I could no more continue getting the hang of lessons at SAG but I tried to give my time for Sir. U Tun Aung Kyaw's class. If not, I'm sure my English would become terribly bad. I was not a good student for my College but I dared not even bunk Sir. U Tun Aung Kyaw's class. :D

After that, I did not pursue my Hons. course and left my hometown. During I was in yangon, it was quite inconvenient to go to USIS and BC everyday as I did in taunggyi. My language proficiency esp. reading skill had started dropping already. Anyhow, I could attend Sir. Moses Stirling's class. I wondered his way of teaching is almost the same with Sir. U Tun Aung Kyaw's. Throughout my life, I have never done any courses like "English Speaking courses" or courses which give certs. lol... so, I don't have any certs. lorr..
However, I do thank God that I could manage to be trained under those sorta teachers. Then, I was about to say goodbye to my land for good cos basically, we all just intended for better future, right? But, since I stepped on this islet till now, my English gets worse let alone to compose a simple essay at the moment. I become more use to in Singlish rather than English like... yeah lor, no lahh, correct mahh!!, mar kan already?... Apart from office hours and when I meet up with my uncles and aunties, I just communicate in burmese even in this terrain. Anyhow, I'm blessed that most of my aunties, uncles are well-educated and so I still have a chance to be able to improve my language skill. At first, I was quite satisfied on my Singlish. Later on, when I have to deal with pure English people at work esp. in meetings, I found out that indeed, they rather prefer their own English to Singlish. So, no choice to practise my old English lor!! :D

I give my gratitude that I owe to my great teachers: Teacher Gyi (YMCA Kindergarden), Teacher Kay Thi, Aunty Gyi (Teacher Daw Nyunt Nyunt Hlaing), Sir. U Tun Aung Kyaw, Sir. Edward, Father Clay, Sir. Moses Stirling by writing this article.

369. What is your idea of a perfect holiday?

Our life will become wishy-washy and unhappy if we work all the time and have no rest or recreation. So, holidays are needed by us. Most people use up their holidays by going on picnics or vacation. They mostly go to places of natural beauty for relaxation and to forget their worries as natural beauty gives them pleasure and they can feel at peace with the world. And for students, they go on excursions. They may think this kind of holiday is perfect as the main object of such a trip is to get recreation or to widen one's general outlook on life. Then, holidays are valuable thus I always think out a way to spend a day in the country. But, I had never succeeded. Somehow or another my plans had gone hay-wire. Therefore, I planned at some length with my friends to go to San Lwin Village last year. As the proverb goes "Well begun is Half-done", all of us considered it was a perfect holiday when we came back to Taunggyi. But, I did not think so because my mind had changed and I only wanted to read books and stay alone. So, I was not happy as I expected. From then on, I realize that a perfect holiday for me is one when I can be happy, can enjoy doing what I like and can fulfill my wishes. I want to have such a holiday whether it is only a day or a longer period of time. On that day, I will have my breakfast with my loving aunty who lives alone. Then, we will do the house-hold chores together. I'm sure I'll be happy though I feel uncomfortable in doing those kinds of work which I have never done before. Next, we will go shopping and go around the town in her little car. After that, we will go back home and talk as long as we can. In the evening, we will have our dinner and watch TV.
However, I know it is just a reverie.

A-L-V-I-N-N-A-W

It was on one Saturday and I was almost to take a nap after having my heavy lunch. Wahh... so sleepy!! But cannot lahh..otherwise, I would be like a Sumo. :P
So, I was just wandering in my mom's garden though I'm not a kinda flower lover. Then, I saw a postman walking towards my yard. Of course, he was bringing an American Mosaic and 2 more magazines which I subscribed as monthly package. After a while, I was already on my way of reading them. Wow.. I was quite impressed by an article regarding of the latest submarine named "Alvin". The article mentioned that apart from it, there were no other submarines which could go as deep as "Alvin" so far. I know that "Alvin" is also a common boy's name but hardly used or given among our people.
At the same time, I recalled my memory of having a conversation with one of my Sunday school teachers. At that time, he shared about his experiences on how western people think. I still remember that I even argued with him as it is my naughty action I used to do on him.
(By the time his English friend asked him what his name was, he simply answered that his name is A. Then, the fella kept on asking him what his name was. He also just replied that his name is A. After that, he got shocked by his fella's words that he just wanna know whether he had his own name or was A the name given by his parents. At first, he was confused but later he came to know that MOST westerners try to stand on their own even on such matters.)
Kk... the point is I was quite fond of that idea and would like to have a name given by myself lorr.. During that time, using internet was also eminent among youngsters in my hometown and so I was thinking of opening an email account. What should I give my username?? Ahh.. a-l-v-i-n-n-a-w, is it cool?? ^.0 From then on, I just keep on using this ID till now. I realised that everyone can give his/her ID as he/she likes and as many IDs as he/she wants. But for me, I'm fed up with such thingys cos I use to take everything serious which is not good indeed. I started with "alvinnaw" and I value it though I intended it as a nickname. "alvinnaw" became part of my life and ultimately, I could apply only this ID "alvinnaw" for whatever I need to sign up. :D
Besides "alvinnaw", I don't have any ordained English name like others. I don't need it and actually, I don't want. Sometimes, I'm cranky. Why must I have an English name unless it's obligatory? Of course, I accept that being in overseas, we have to attune with our atmosphere. Yet, I'm still "Naw" and address myself just as "Naw" even to my people of this land. But, for some exceptional situations, I use to title as "Alvinna" cos basically, "Alvin" is for male and "Alvinna" for female. And now i'm a young lady mahh.. :D Since then, "alvinnaw", "alvinna", "alvin" (for who do not know me) become my official names.

To be frankly, my relatives and even my family haven't known about "ALVINNAW" yet. ^.0

New MRT map

For this year X'mas!

This poem seems to be quite hilarious but if we go further on pondering of each single stanza, it's showing the reality of what's going on on earth. I feel in this way lahh... ^.0

Christmas Story

'Twas the night before Christmas--Old Santa was pissed.
He cussed out the elves and threw down his list.
Miserable little brats, ungrateful little jerks.
I have a good mind to scrap the whole works!

I've busted my ass for damn near a year,
Instead of "Thanks Santa"--what do I hear?
The old lady bitches cause I work late at night.
The elves want more money--The reindeer all fight.

Rudolph got drunk and goosed all the maids.
Donner is pregnant and Vixen has AIDS.
And just when I thought that things would get better
Those assholes from the IRS sent me a letter,
They say I owe taxes--if that ain't damn funny
Who the hell ever sent Santa Claus any money?

And the kids these days--they all are the pits
They want the impossible--Those mean little shits
I spent a whole year making wagons and sleds
Assembling dolls...Their arms, legs and heads
I made a ton of yo yo's--No request for them,
They want computers and robots...they think - I'm IBM!

Flying through the air...dodging the trees
Falling down chimneys and skinning my knees
I'm quitting this job there's just no enjoyment
I'll sit on my fat ass and draw unemployment.

There's no Christmas this year now you know the reason,
I found me a blonde. I'm going SOUTH for the season!

Laugh and relax during coming X'mas season

A four-year-old boy who was asked to return thanks before Christmas dinner. The family members bowed their heads in expectation. He began his prayer, thanking God for all his friends, naming them one by one. Then he thanked God for Mommy, Daddy, brother, sister, Grandma, Grandpa, and all his aunts and uncles. Then he began to thank God for the food. He gave thanks for the turkey, the dressing, the fruit salad, the cranberry sauce, the pies, the cakes, even the Cool Whip. Then he paused, and everyone waited ... and waited. After a long silence, the young fellow looked up at his mother and asked, "If I thank God for the broccoli, won't he know that I'm lying?"

While working as a mall Santa, I had many children ask for electric trains. "If you get a train," I would tell each one, "you know your dad is going to want to play with it too. Is that okay?" The usual answer was a quick yes, but after I asked one boy this question, he became very quiet. Trying to move the conversation along, I asked what else he would like Santa to bring him. He promptly replied, "Another train."

Santa was very upset. It was Christmas Eve and NOTHING was going right! Mrs. Claus had burned all the cookies. The elves were complaining about not getting paid for the overtime they had while making the toys. The reindeer had been drinking all afternoon and were dead drunk. To make matters worse, they had taken the sleigh out for a spin earlier in the day and had crashed it into a tree. Santa was furious. "I can't believe it! I've got to deliver millions of presents all over the world in just a few hours and all of my reindeer are drunk, the elves are on strike and I don't even have a Christmas tree!" He continued, "And I sent that stupid Little Angel out hours ago to find a tree and he isn't even back yet! What am I going to do?" Just then, the Little Angel opened the front door and stepped in from the snowy night, dragging a Christmas tree behind him. He said, "Yo, fat man! Where do you want me to stick the tree this year?" And thus the tradition of angels atop the Christmas tree got its start...

The Fault Finding Seed

As this article was being kept in my diary since Aug '06, I even don't remember how and from where I got it. :D

A little seed lay in the ground
And soon began to sprout,
Now, which of all the flowers around
Shall "I" it mused come out?
It said "I don't care to be a rose it has thorns.
I don't desire to be a lily, it's so colorless.
I certainly don't want to be a violet, it's too small.
And it grows too close to the ground.
So, it criticized each flower,
That supercilious seed,
Until it woke one summer hour
To find itself a WEED !!!

I think... If we are critical of others, they can be critical to us too.
When others act irritable, it's ugly.
When we do - it's just nerves.
When others are set in their ways, they are stubborn.
When we are obstinate, it's just firmness.
When our neighbors do not like our friends - they are prejudiced.
When we don't like, we are good judges of human nature.
We need to be beware of harsh judgements, cruel distinctions and critical attitudes towards others.

So... Remember with what measure - we measure, it shall be measured again to us.

An essay which changed part of my life!

In this dog eat dog world, we have to deal with many different people daily. Some people are good-mannered but some are not. So, we have to be careful when dealing with people in society. Among them, we usually choose and praise people whom we admire. But, people are of different minds. Some worship people who give their life for religion. Some respect leaders of the country. Some appreciate scientists, pioneers or innovators. Some adore famous artistes, musicians or sport men. Some idolize well-known authors or poets. And some esteem their parents: father, mother or both. As for me, the person I admire most is my teacher who is from my computer college.

I know her even personally. She is from Taunggyi, too. She is single and young. She is very bonny as she possesses long black hair, thick and pitch-black eyebrows and bright eyes. Then, she is stylish and always dresses neatly. I admire her because of both her good figure and her personality traits. Everyone can notice that she is an honest and polite lady by just looking at her face. Moreover, she values modesty as well as discipline.

It took many years for this person to become successful. She had to overcome much trouble. Both of her parents are dead. After undergoing much difficulties, she became an expert at Computer Science as she had self-confidence. She has done many good deeds. She imparts much knowledge to the young. I reckon that it is vital and very useful because the future is in the hands of the youths of today. Her work of teaching is fruitful not only for one pupil but also for many pupils who will grow up.

I love her like an auntie and she also does in return as her niece. She guides me in everything. Although we are not of the same religion, she is so pious and always tells me to go to Church every Sunday. She is not proud in spite of being wealthy. She is generous and usually donates some things to orphanages and homes for the aged. She stays by my side and gives me support, confidence and help whenever I am in need. And she encourages me to be diligent. She explains my lessons patiently which I do not understand without exception. She urges me to attend classes regularly and put effort on my studies. Because of her, my attendance has become regular and sometimes I want to remain a student forever.

She is an optimist and has a kind heart, too. She wants all of the people in the world to live peacefully. She is very friendly and cheerful. Furthermore, she is lively and intelligent. She likes to read books as she is a nerd. She always reminds me to read good books and directs me which books I should read. Whenever I meet her, I can get at least one advice and some knowledge.

Nevertheless, she is good at playing table-tennis. She lives alone and I often visit her. At that time, we play it with pleasure and I assist her in doing house chores just as I do for my mother. Then, the thing which is the same with my mother, also a great lady for me, is that she has always provided stability for me with full of laughter, full of tears and full of love.

In conclusion, I want to succeed like her. She says life is what you make of it. To be successful like her, I must do my utmost. First of all, I have to attempt to get a Master's Degree in Computer Science and then sit for Entrance for the Faculty of Education where teachers of higher classes are trained. Finally, I want to say that so much of love what I have become is because of her. I appreciate her, thank her and love her more than words can express.

A pleasant Thursday afternoon
Together with him
Under the old oak tree
And ..Lay down beside him
Oh..How thrill I was...
